When to go shopping, what to buy, and how to pay at Trader Joe's

A May 14, 2021 tweet from SFGATE (@SFGate)Is There a Senior Discount at Trader Joe's?
When the COVID-19 pandemic first hit, Trader Joe's extended its senior discount. As a result, vulnerable people felt more secure continuing their grocery shopping. Most Trader Joe's locations no longer offer senior hours, so choose a less busy time of day to do your grocery shopping if you can.
Even though Trader Joe's no longer has senior hours, customers of that age group can still plan their shopping trips to take advantage of the store's lightest traffic.
Google charts the store's hourly popularity based on historical data. One to two hours after a store opens and one to two hours before it closes are typically the store's least busy times of day.

When Does Trader Joe's Open and Close Its Liquor Store?
The liquor section of Trader Joe's is open during the same hours as the grocery store (8 am - 9 pm) Monday through Saturday. However, depending on local laws, the hours during which alcoholic beverages can be purchased may vary. Many states allow the purchase of alcoholic beverages at any time Monday through Saturday, but many have restrictions on Sundays until after noon.
Most jurisdictions that permit the sale of alcohol in supermarkets do not impose stringent weekday restrictions.
Sundays are the most common day when stores are closed, which may limit your shopping options. In particular, several states impose a 12-noon Sunday prohibition on the sale of alcoholic beverages.
The following states do not allow any Trader Joe's stores to sell alcohol:
- Delaware
- Pennsylvania
- There's no place like Rhode Island
In some states, regulations apply only to certain retailers. Keep in mind that liquor stores have varying policies when it comes to selling alcoholic beverages like beer, wine, and distilled spirits.
Different states have different laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages.
If you want to know if your local Trader Joe's sells alcohol and what hours the liquor store is open, you can do so by visiting the Trader Joe's website.
Start by performing a Store Search. A store's ability to sell alcoholic beverages is reflected in the list of search results.
To access specific details about a store, select "View Store Details."
Trader Joe's Restocking Schedule
Trader Joe's follows a standard restocking schedule for all stores. During business hours, employees at all Trader Joe's locations receive daily deliveries and stock shelves as needed. While stores in less densely populated areas may receive as few as one or two deliveries per day, those in densely populated areas may receive as many as four or five.
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, between 8 and 10 in the morning, Trader Joe's has the best selection. The best selection of produce and other perishables will be available early in the day, so it's best to go grocery shopping then.
As an added bonus, you won't have to worry about the products being picked over or sold out like you might if you went shopping in the afternoon.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) determines which foods and groceries can be purchased with your EBT card.
Fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry, fish, grains, dairy products, eggs, non-alcoholic beverages, seeds for food production, and fish are all fair game.
Visit the USDA's website for a complete list of SNAP/EBT-accepted foods.

If you've been lucky enough to receive a Trader Joe's gift card as a present, you should consider yourself lucky indeed.
Keep in mind that the gift card itself must be present. Trader Joe's does not sell gift cards in printed or digital form, so customers cannot use those at the store.
Is Trader Joe's now owned by Aldi?
Both Aldi and Trader Joe's are distinct companies with their own management and products. Part of Aldi Nord is owned by the same families that own Trader Joe's, but the two companies are not affiliated in any other way. The owners of Aldi US and Aldi Sud aren't related, so neither is Trader Joe's.
The origins of Aldi can be traced back to the 1910s. Before 1960, the Albrecht family managed Aldi throughout Europe. However, in that year, the brothers decided to divide the region in two.
As a result, Aldi split into two companies: Aldi Nord and Aldi Sud. Aldi Nord's owners ended up buying Trader Joe's. Both Aldi and Trader Joe's offer shoppers a refreshing alternative to the standard supermarket.
Conclusion
Trader Joe's is a fantastic grocery store that offers competitive prices and a friendly atmosphere. Trader Joe's is open on nearly every day of the year, making it convenient for customers with varying schedules to stock up on their staples.
