A May 14, 2021 tweet from SFGATE (@SFGate)Is There a Senior Discount at Trader Joe's?
When the COVID-19 pandemic first hit, Trader Joe's extended its senior discount. As a result, vulnerable people felt more secure continuing their grocery shopping. Most Trader Joe's locations no longer offer senior hours, so choose a less busy time of day to do your grocery shopping if you can.
Even though Trader Joe's no longer has senior hours, customers of that age group can still plan their shopping trips to take advantage of the store's lightest traffic.

While stores in less densely populated areas may receive as few as one or two deliveries per day, those in densely populated areas may receive as many as four or five.
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, between 8 and 10 in the morning, Trader Joe's has the best selection. The best selection of produce and other perishables will be available early in the day, so it's best to go grocery shopping then.
As an added bonus, you won't have to worry about the products being picked over or sold out like you might if you went shopping in the afternoon.

Is Trader Joe's now owned by Aldi?
Both Aldi and Trader Joe's are distinct companies with their own management and products. Part of Aldi Nord is owned by the same families that own Trader Joe's, but the two companies are not affiliated in any other way. The owners of Aldi US and Aldi Sud aren't related, so neither is Trader Joe's.
The origins of Aldi can be traced back to the 1910s. Before 1960, the Albrecht family managed Aldi throughout Europe. However, in that year, the brothers decided to divide the region in two.
